In November Secure Fisheries’ Director Robert Mazurek participated in a lively hour-long panel discussion at the Middlebury Institute for International Studies at Monterey. The panel followed a talk titled Secure Oceans: Recommendations for the World’s Largest Crime Scene by Johan Bergenäs, who directs the Partnerships in Security and Development Program at the Stimson Center. Mr. Mazurek’s remarks addressed his career in marine conservation and how sustainable fisheries is increasingly at the forefront of maritime security efforts around the globe.
