The NIAG is a U.S. Government-sponsored forum chartered to inform, lead, advocate, and pursue outreach to all aspects of the government’s Global Maritime Community of Interest. The NIAG is also chartered to address the challenges described in the U.S. National Maritime Domain Awareness Plan (NMDAP). The meeting was chaired by RADM Robert Sharp, Director of the National Maritime Intelligence-Integration Office (NMIO) and Chair of the Maritime Domain Awareness Executive Steering Committee, The Pew Charitable Trusts, and the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
