Muruqmaal Environment Protection

Muruqmaal Environment Protection “Muruqmaal” has been operating a quality lime production company in Garowe, Puntland since 2013.  Using limestone extracted from its quarry site, Muruqmaal transports and processes stone to produce lime for construction companies in Garowe and Galkacyo.  Though the company’s production and profit margin has been steadily increasing over the last few years, Muruqmaal was limited by the manual nature of its processing system which is primarily done by hand.

Using financing secured in 2017, Muruqmaal was able to expand its facility and procure a stone grinding machine and generator.  The additional grinding machinery has significantly reduced the amount of time needed to break down raw materials during the crushing process, and the facility expansion has allowed the company to keep pace with the increased production.
