Red Sea Fishing Company ("Red Sea") is a large-scale fishing operation based in Bosaso, Puntland with a focus on processing and delivering fish to local and export markets. Red Sea supplies fish to hotels, restaurants, and supermarkets in Puntland and Somaliland. It also exports fish to Yemen, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman. The owner has over 25 years of experience in the fishing sector. As a result of Red Sea’s growth, it faced the challenge of being unable to adequately meet demand for fresh fish in local and export markets due to an insufficient cold chain system.

Red Sea obtained financing to procure equipment to upgrade and expand its cold chain. With the improved cold chain, Red Sea is able to reach more customers and supply fish to hotels, restaurants, and supermarkets in Puntland and Somaliland, increasing its revenue by 30%.
