Sahra Hassan is Shuraako’s Senior Field Manager for the Somaliland region managing impact investment loans for SMEs and is primarily responsible for implementation of Environmental and Social Governance in invested portfolio businesses following the IFC standards. Sahra received bachelor’s degree in business administration and a postgraduate diploma in management and leadership from SOAS, University of London. She has over 15 years’ experience working in the private and public sectors, specializing in grant management, business development, business start-ups and facilitating impact investment loans. Prior to joining Shuraako, Sahra worked on a number of projects implemented on behalf of the World Bank in Somaliland as a Senior Fund Analyst for the Somaliland Business Fund and Survey Coordinator and Financial Controller for the Somaliland Enterprise and Household surveys implemented by Kimetrica International for the World Bank. Sahra enjoys outdoor horticultural activities and in her spare time developing her commercial business in agricultural farming.
