A PROJECT THAT EMPOWERS THE VOICE OF CULTURAL AND COMMUNICATION COLLECTIVES BUILDING PEACE IN 40 OF THE MUNICIPALITIES MOST AFFECTED BY VIOLENCE AND POVERTY IN COLOMBIA.
Voices from the Territory (Voces del Territorio) is a project being implemented in the framework of the Final Agreement to End the Armed Conflict and Build a Stable and Lasting Peace. Its objective is to empower communities in areas most affected by poverty and armed conflict as creators of their own peace narratives, through the formulation and implementation of collective projects in communication, art and culture.
The project prioritizes the participation of organizations made up of women, youth, reincorporated population, ethnic and LGBTIQ+ communities from 40 municipalities focused on the Development Programmes with a Territorial-Based Focus (DPTFs), conceived in the Final Agreement. Its main focus is to make progress in the implementation of Pillar 8 of the DPTFs, which corresponds to the actions agreed upon by the driving groups of each municipality to contribute to reconciliation, coexistence and peace building in their regions.
This project is financed by the United Nations Multi-Donor Peace Sustaining Fund -MPTF- and executed in coordination between the International Organization for Migration -OIM- and the Colombia in Peace Fund.
